Currant
A treasure in our hands!
The currant, which was the pillar of the Greek economy and a leading exportable product during the 19th century, left an indelible mark on the areas where its cultivation and trade flourished.
The cultivation and production of currants takes place in very specific soils, continuously from the antiquity to the present day, by vine growers with special knowledge and discipline and requires a lot of effort and care that does not stop all seasons until we reach the highlight, the collection of the fruit in August and its drying in the sun.
A life cycle that never stops, is inextricably linked to Greek culture and is the cultural heritage of our place.
